Design Philosophy.

Everything around us has been designed - from the road signs you pass on your way home to the chair you are sitting in - someone saw it in their mind and set about bringing it into reality. This aspect of our daily lives has always been fascinating and the weight of it all continues to excite me - there is much that can be achieved when you recognize the power that exists in the notion that we are actively shaping the world around us.

Background.

A professional Magician since age 12, I've been extremely fortunate to be able to live a lot of life in my 30 years. Through thousands of individual and group interactions as performer and speaker I've learned a great deal about people, what we respond to, and the way that we think. This experiential data blended with the hands-on, practical experience that I gained while working in Los Angeles gives me a unique perspective that informs my work.

In-House Designer for the three brands under the SCW umbrella. Work included but was not limited to creating posters, flyers, brochures, business cards, coupons, event maps, marketing videos, branded microsites, monthly digital newsletters, and Regional/National email campaigns

Animation was a natural progression from designing graphic assets. Blending the principles of cinematography with dynamic typography and functional, appealing visuals, I have been fortunate enough to work with some really great teams like Automaton Creative, CADRE Omnimedia, and JJACK Productions to bring life to new ideas.

SCW Fitness Education / Les Mills Midwest / Water-in-Motion
September 2012 - October 2013
In-House web designer for the three brands under the SCW umbrella. Work included but was not limited to creating branded microsites, monthly digital newsletters, regional and national email campaigns, interactive location maps, password protected vendor access points, and the development, construction, and implementation of a proprietary video upload system for continuing education credit certifications*.

*As a result of not having to license the pre-existing system, the company saved approximately $17,000/month.
